Adema

The Alternative-Metal band Adema was originally fronted by singer Mark 'Marky' Chavez, younger half-brother of Korn's Jonathan Davis; Chavez started the band in the late '90s in Bakersfield, California USA, with guitarists Tim Fluckley and Mike Ransom, bassist Dave DeRoo and drummer Kris Kohls.

Not long after forming, the band was signed to Arista Records and in August of 2001 the quintet released their self-titled debut album which quickly broke The Billboard Top 200 chart reaching the #27 slot; the first single, "Giving In", peaked at #14 and #16 on The Modern and Mainstream Rock charts, respectively. "The Way You Like It" reached #15 on The Modern Rock Tracks and the final single, "Freaking Out", hit the top 40 on both Billboard's Rock charts. Adema supported the album by appearing on the Music As A Weapon tour, sharing the stage with Drowning Pool, Disturbed and Stereomud; they also joined the Ozzfest touring festival.
In October 2002, the band released the 7-track remix and cover EP entitled "Insomniac's Dream"; a few months later the quintet retreated into the studio in Los Angeles to record the follow-up to their eponymous debut.
"Unstable", which arrived in August 2003, debuted at #43 on The Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and the title-track reached the #25 position on The Mainstream Rock chart; soon after the album's release, Adema toured throughout North-America with Powerman 5000 and Spineshank.
Before the year's end the band was dropped from Arista and Ransom left the fold; in mid-2004 they signed a new recording contract with the independent label Earache Records.
Shortly after the Earache signing, Adema replaced original singer, Marky Chavez, with new frontman Luke Caraccioli. In April 2005, this revamped line-up, released "Planets". The band's third full-length disc, which contained the single "Tornado", made a brief chart intrusion in U.S. reaching the #152 position on The Billboard 200.

"Kill The Headlights" is the title of the new studio record by Adema, released in the summer 2007. The album is the first to feature new vocalist Bobby Reeves and second guitarist Ed Faris. "Cold And Jaded" is the first single off the CD.
