Alison Moyet was born 18 June 1961, in Basildon, Essex ENGLAND. The former
singer of the Synth-Pop duo Yazoo, released
her solo debut album in 1984.
"Alf" reached the #1 spot on The Official U.K. Albums chart
and spawned three hit singles, "Love Resurrection", "All
Cried Out" and "Invisible" that stormed the European charts,
eventually the album entered the top 50 of The Billboard Top 200 chart
in the States, where "Invisible" became a top 40 hit on The
Billboard Hot 100.
She returned in 1987 with the single "Is This Love", it preceded
her second effort, "Raindancing", the album included the British
top 10 single "Weak In The Presence of Beauty".
In 1991 she released "Hoodoo" which generated the Modern Rock
top 30 hit single "It Won't Be Long".
In the following years Alison Moyet released two LPs but failed to match
the returns of the previous years.
