After initially forming in 1998 as a side-project for former Shadows
Fall vocalist Phil Labonte and guitarist Oli Herbert, the melodic
Death-Metal outfit All That Remains, who hails from Springfield, Massachusetts
USA, solidified with the addition of guitarist Chris Bartlett, bassist
Dan Egan and drummer Michael Bartlett.
The quintet released their debut album, "Behind Silence And Solitude",
in March 2002 for Metal Blade Records.
All That Remains had a revolving line-up that changed year after year.
After bringing in guitarist Mike Martin and bass player Matt Deis and
releasing "This Darkened Heart" on Razor & Tie, to rave
reviews in March 2004, the band landed high-profile tours and shows alongside
the likes of GWAR, Shadows
Fall, Lamb Of God and Slipknot
and toured virtually non-stop, only taking a break in late 2005 to write
new material.
Bassist Jeanne Sagan joined the fold shortly before All That Remains tracked
"The Fall Of Ideals" which also introduced new drummer Shannon
Lucas; their third album hit stores shelves in July 2006; in addition
to the high-profile festival appearances, the group supported the disc,
which debuted at #75 on The Billboard Top 200 chart, with a series of
impressive tours alongside fellow genre leaders Killswitch
Engage, Dragonforce and As
I Lay Dying.
Drummer Jason Costa, who toured with the band throughout 2007, made his
recording debut with All That Remains on the band's fourth album, "Overcome".
It was released in September 2008 and includes the single "Two Weeks".
