The Chicago, Illinois USA-based Punk-Pop band Fall Out Boy was formed
in 2001 by singer+guitarist Patrick Stumph, guitarist Joseph Trohman,
bassist Peter Wentz and drummer Andrew Hurley.
The group quickly recorded a 3-song demo followed by a split-CD and 2002's
"Fall Out Boy's Evening Out With Your Girlfriend" on Uprising
Records.
The quartet eventually signed a deal with the indie label Fueled By Ramen
who released "Take This To Your Grave" in May 2003; they toured
the U.S. constantly, sharing stages with many bands like Less
Than Jake, Taking Back Sunday,
OK Go, Rise
Against and American Hi-Fi;
by the time the record climbed the Billboard's Top Heatseekers and Top
Independent Albums peaking at #11 and #17, respectively.
Fall Out Boy's Island debut disc, "From Under The Cork Tree",
was released in May 2005; this album took the band to a new level, it
peaked at #9 on The Billboard 200 Sales chart and hit the top 20 in the
U.K. producing two Modern Rock top 3 smashes in "Sugar, We're Goin'
Down" and "Dance, Dance", which both also went top 10 in
Britain and on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100; the final single, "A Little
Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More 'Touch Me'" was another Modern
Rock top 40 hit.
The Chicago foursome returned in February 2007 with "Infinity On
High" which includes the monster hit single "This Ain't A Scene,
It's An Arms Race", it quickly shot to #9 on The Hot Modern Rock
chart and climbed into the top 3 of The Billboard Hot 100, the Canadian
