Fatboy Slim is one of the several alias by which Norman Cook known, he was born in Bromley, ENGLAND in 1963; when he was a young boy moved to Brighton to attend college and started DJing around the town, in the mid-'80s with Housemartins achieved big success in the U.K. Singles chart with the cover-song "Caravan Of Love"; in the first half of the '90s, Cook, with two more dance-oriented projects, Beats International and Freak Power returned in the top 10 of the British charts.

In 1995, Cook, started Fatboy Slim releasing, a year later, "Better Living Through Chemistry" which featured the hit "Santa Cruz" and his first U.S. Modern Rock top 30 single, "Going Out Of My Head".
Two years later appeared the international breakthrough effort, "You've Come A Long Way, Baby", the record rose to #1 on the U.K. Albums chart and reached the #34 slot on The Billboard Top 200 chart going platinum, while the explosive single "Praise You" peaked at #1 on the U.K. Pop Sales chart, smashed into the American Top 40 and shot to #2 on The Modern Rock Tracks chart; the album contained two more successful songs: the U.K. top 3 smash "Right Here, Right Now" and the Modern Rock top 40 hit, "The Rockafeller Skank".
In November of 2000, was issued Fatboy Slim's third album, "Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars", which hit the top 10 in Britain and peaked at #51 on The Billboard 200 chart spawning the House-oriented single, "Star 69", plus the Modern Rock minor hit "Weapon Of Choice".
After a four year recording gap, Fatboy Slim returned in October 2004 with "Palookaville", the CD cracked the top 20 in Britain producing a couple of moderate hit in the cover of Steve Miller Band's "The Joker" and "Slash Dot Dash".

Fatboy Slim are back with a new single called "That Old Pair Of Jeans", the track is taken from the new ten-year retrospective compilation titled "The Greatest Hits: Why Try Harder".
