Alternative-Rock band based in Burlington, a city of about 150,000 on
Lake Ontario about 30 miles west of Toronto CANADA; most of the members
met at high school, in 1997, the group originally comprised vocalist Scott
Anderson, guitarists James Black and Rick Jackett, bassist Sean Anderson
and drummer Rob Gommerman.
Their debut full-length album, "Tip", came out in their homeland
on Mercury Records; in late 1998, the record was released in the States
by Wind-up, soon after Rich Beddoe replaced Gommerman on drums; the quintet
supported the album opening for the likes of Creed,
Days Of The New and Fuel.
Two singles lifted off the album, "Quicksand" and "Above",
entered The Mainstream Rock chart reaching the #28 and #34 spots, respectively.
The band's second release, "The Greyest Of Blue Skies", arrived
in July of 2000, its main single, "Drag You Down", took band's
popularity to new heights in their native Canada, while the album cracked
the top 20 of the Billboard Magazine's Top Heatseekers chart.
Three years later, Finger Eleven, released their eponymous third album
which reached the top 5 of The Canadian Pop chart and hit #96 on The Billboard
Top 200 chart going gold on the strength of the smash single, "One
Thing", the track rose to #5 on The Modern Rock chart and hit #16
on The Billboard Hot 100.
In March 2007 the Canadian rockers returned with "Them Vs. You
Vs. Me", their latest full-length disc includes the Hot Modern Rock
top 3 smash "Paralyzer".
