Spiking extremely retro Electro-Pop tendencies with a modern approach
to programming, the two-man act Fischerspooner was formed in New York
City by frontman, singer Casey Spooner and composer Warren Fischer, the
musicians first met in an experimental video class at the School of the
Art Institute of Chicago and between 1999 and 2000 they wrote a spate
of tracks for their debut full-length album.
At the beginning of 2002, they signed a deal with club pioneers Ministry
Of Sound who released "#1" in Europe, where the main track,
"Emerge", crashed into the U.K. top 40 chart; a worldwide record
deal with Capitol Records followed and their first CD climbed into the
top 3 of the American Billboard Top Electronic Albums list.
Fischerspooner returned in spring 2005 with their second album, "Odyssey",
which includes such tracks as the club success "Just Let Go"
and the new single "Never Win".
