Gob is a Punk-Rock quartet based in Vancouver, CANADA that came together in late 1993; its core consisting of guitarists+vocalists Tom Thacker and Theo Goutzinakis.

After a few months of writing, the pair began to record their 1994's self-titled debut disc.
"Too Late...No Friends" followed one year later; although the band supported the album by touring all over North-America, changing the line-up around every show, like their debut, the sophomore release was also moderately successful.
In late 1998 the band issued their next album, "How Far Shallow Takes You" which gained much attention, while bassist Craig Wood and drummer Gabe Mantlethanks joined as a permanent members; the first single, "What To Do", received good airplay on alt-Rock radio stations, thus expanding their audience.
The Vancouver punksters have shared stages with Canada's most aggressive rockers such as The Tea Party and Moist and after inked a new deal with Nettwerk Records, in early 2001 the foursome released "The World According To Gob" which included the single "I Hear You Calling".
The next year they signed for New York-based record company Arista for the release of "Foot In Mouth Disease"; the band's major label debut arrived on the U.S. store shelves in the spring of 2003 reaching the #31 position on Billboard Magazine's Top Heatseekers chart.

Gob unleashed their long-time-coming new full-length disc, "Muertos Vivos" in October 2007; the album, which includes the single "We're All Dying", is the band's fifth studio LP and marks the end of a four-year silence for the quartet.
