The story of this Alternative-Metal outfit began in Los Angeles, California
USA, when in 2005, an Albany, New York native vocalist, Maria Brink connected
with guitarist Chris Howorth. The two immediately realized that they had
something special together; this union would soon be rounded out by Blake
Bunzel on guitars, Jesse Landry on bass and Jeff Fabb on drums to form
In This Moment, who just three years later performed to a sold-out crowd
at the renowned Madison Square Garden opening for Ozzy
Osbourne.
The quintet issued its debut recording, "Beautiful Tragedy",
in March 2007 on Century Media; they spent the majority of that year touring
relentlessly across the U.S. alongside Lacuna
Coil, Within Temptation and
Kittie in support of their debut offering,
which was quickly embraced by media worldwide. However, it was in the
fall of 2007 where the band proved that they could withstand any obstacle
in their path as they embarked on a North American tour as direct support
to Megadeth, ultimately garnering a new
legion of fans across the country.
In 2008, In This Moment continued to carve out their own unique and exhilarating
chapter in the Hard-Rock genre, laying the foundation for an extremely
bright future; in September the band released its sophomore effort, "The
Dream", which peaked at #73 on The Billboard 200 chart led by the
album's first single, the Active-Rock minor hit "Forever".
The group kicked off 2009 with a bang embarking on a massive North-American
trek alongside Mudvayne and Nonpoint.
As members of In This Moment prepare themselves to spend their entire
summer as part of this year's Warped Tour line-up, the band returns with
a new offering, "The Dream [The Ultra Violet Edition]", which
features their cover of the Blondie classic
"Call Me".
