This Punk-Rock Punk-Pop group was formed in 1990 in the small town of Goleta, just outside of Santa Barbara, California USA; while the Lagwagon's early line-up fluctuated, lead singer Joey Cape remained at the band's core.

Comprising guitarists Chris Flippin and Shawn Dewey, bassist Jesse Buglione, drummer Derrick Plourde and Cape, the group debuted in 1992 with the album titled "Duh".
The quintet was the first band signed to Fat Wreck Chords, a record label that would set out to conquer the world of Punk and who released Lagwagon's second album, "Trashed", in the summer of 1994.
"Hoss" followed in November 1995 and shortly after, Plourde left the group to join The Ataris, he was replaced by drummer Dave Raun; guitarist Shawn Dewey also departed from the group in 1997, Ken Stringfellow briefly joined Lagwagon to play guitar on their next album, "Double Plaidinum" which arrived in record stores in August that same year, it reached the #20 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums chart.
A year later the band, with guitar player Chris Rest taking the spot of the departed Stringfellow, unleshed "Let's Talk About Feelings" and a collection of rarities, old demos and covers was issued in 2000 on 25-songs CD-set.
After four and a half years, in April 2003, the Southern Californian Punk band resurfaced with an album of all-new-material, "Blaze"; the record hit #8 on the Billboard Top Independent list and also scraped the bottom of the U.S. Top 200 Albums Sales chart.

Lagwagon are back with its seventh studio album, "Resolve".
