Hailing from Lovejoy, Georgia USA, Michael Tolcher began his musical
education while singing in the church choir as a child, he eventually
picked up guitar and ventured into song compositions, Tolcher finally
pursued a musical career and embarked on a string of cross-country gigs
in clubs, bars and coffee houses.
In the fall of 2003, having finally completed his journey in New York
City, he set out to produce his debut record on Octone Records, after
applying the final mixing touches in New York and Los Angeles, Tolcher
cast off once again to strengthen his fan base and share stages with Alternative-Rock
acts such as Sister Hazel, Everclear,
and Tonic. The album, entitled "I Am",
was released in May 2004 and spawned the Billboard's Adult Top 40 hit,
"Mission Responsible".
