Michael Phillip Jagger was born on July 26, 1943, in Dartford ENGLAND where at the age of 5 met Keith Richards; in the early '60s, the two started up a band called The Rolling Stones, not long after the group became one of the most successful Rock acts. After over twenty official LP with the Stones, Jagger began recording his solo debut album in 1984, that same year he recorded the single "State Of Shock" on which shared vocals with Michael Jackson; his first LP, "She's The Boss" reached the #13 on The Billboard Top 200 chart and generated "Just Another Night" that topped The Mainstream Rock Tracks chart plus two more Active Rock top 10 hits, "Lucky In Love" and "Lonely At The Top". During 1985, as part of the massive Live Aid charity effort to fight hunger, Jagger and David Bowie recorded their remake of "Dancing In The Street" the single stormed the charts all over world. The next year Jagger contributed the title-song to the soundtrack of "Ruthless People", the track peaked at #14 on The Mainstream Rock chart. In 1987 was issued "Primitive Cool", his second solo full-length album which reached the #41 on The Billboard 200 chart and included two Mainstream Rock top 10 hits: "Let's Work" and "Throwaway". Jagger returned in 1993 with "Wandering Spirit" his best chart-placing to date, in fact the record hit the #11 on The Billboard Top 200 Albums list, its singles "Don't Tear Me Up" and "Wired All Night" peaked at #1 and #3 respectively on The Active Rock chart; another cut, the funk rock-oriented "Sweet Thing" scraped the lower reaches of The Billboard Hot 100. Another eight years passed before Jagger returned with his fourth solo-effort, "Goddess In The Doorway", it peaked at #39 in U.S. Albums chart and spawned only one charting single, the Mainstream Rock top 30 hit "God Gave Me Everything" co-written with Lenny Kravitz. In October of 2004 he recorded a duet of "Old Habits Die Hard" with Sheryl Crow which became part of the soundtrack of the movie "Alfie".
