The Alternative-Rock Pop-Rock act Neon Trees was founded by vocalist
+ keyboardist Tyler Glenn and guitarist Chris Allen. They have known each
other since grade school, when they turned 17 they began writing music
together but Allen's aspirations to be a masseuse lead him to a massage
school in Utah. In 2003, the duo split up.
Two years later, Glenn made a radical decision. He packed up and moved
to Provo, Utah USA, with his co-songwriter to continue making music. After
trying out different musicians, they finally completed the band with the
addition of bassist Branden Campbell and drummer Elaine Doty.
In the summer of 2008 the quartet released an EP titled "Drop Your
Weapon" and enjoyed a fair degree of local success. On the other
end of the line were world-renowned rockers, The
Killers, calling to offer Glenn and his cohorts the opening slot on
their North American tour.
Neon Trees are ready to light up the charts with the release of "Habits",
their Mercury Records debut due out March 16. The full-length disc includes
the Alternative Rock top 40 hit single "Animal".
