Comprising a four-piece line-up, fronted by singer + guitarist Damian
Kulash, along with school friends keyboardist + guitarist Andy Duncan,
bassist Dan Konopka and drummer Tim Nordwind, the Alternative-Rock combo
OK Go formed in 1999, in Chicago, Illinois USA.
The guys quickly developed a solid following in their hometown and after
a couple of years signed with Capitol Records who issued their eponymously
titled debut album in September of 2002. The record rose to #1 on The
Billboard Top Heatseekers list and subsequently reached #107 on The Billboard
200 Sales chart while the single, "Get Over It", crashed into
The Modern Rock airplay chart to take the #20 position.
OK Go recorded their second album in the Swedish industrial town of Malmö.
The disc, entitled "Oh No", was released in August 2005 peaking
at #69 on The Billboard 200, it included two British hit single "A
Million Ways" and "Here It Goes Again", the latter of which
became the band's first Billboard Hot 100 top 40 and their second Hot
Modern Rock top 20 hit.
Shortly after the album's release, Duncan left the band and Andy Ross
took over guitar and keys duties.
"WTF?" is the lead single from OK Go's upcoming album, "Of
The Blue Colour Of The Sky", set for release on January 12, 2010
on Capitol Records.
