The Alternative-Metal Industrial troop Opiate For The Masses was formed in the late '90s in Phoenix, Arizona USA, by vocalist Ron Underwood, guitarist+synth player Jim Kaufman, guitarist Dustin Lyon, bassist Ryan Head and drummer Elias Mallin.

Over the next three years the quintet would tour constantly and release three EPs, but in 2003 Lyon left the fold; one year later Seven Antonopolous was introduced as their new drummer to replace departed member Elias Mallin.
Opiate For The Masses continued on as a four-piece creating a solid buzz and diehard fanbase with its self-produced first full-length album, "The Spore", which was released in April 2005, backed by a slew of major tours alongside Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, My Chemical Romance and Static-X, among countless others.

In the years to follow the band moved out to Los Angeles to start work on their second album. They inked a deal with Century Media Records and replaced bassist Ryan Head with Anna K. -a.k.a. Anna Kjellberg- who came to the band with 12 years of recording and touring experience and an international Hard-Rock pedigree.
July 2008 sees Opiate For The Masses release their much anticipated sophomore album, "Manifesto", which includes the new single "Burn You Down".
