Michael Raine Maida was born on February 18, 1970 in Weston, Ontario
CANADA. Maida is best known for being the lead singer of the Alternative-Rock
outfit Our Lady Peace.
He went to St. Catherine's private school when he was young and then All
Saints High School. Maida later went to Ridley college and then university
of Toronto to study criminology but dropped out 2 1/2 credits short of
graduation to be in the band Our Lady
Peace; they signed to Columbia Records, sold millions of albums and
shared the stage with everyone from The Ramones to Deftones
and Neil Young.
Raine Maida goes solo with the full-length CD, "Hunters Lullaby";
including similar but slightly different versions of the four tracks that
comprise his 2006 EP, "Love Hope Hero", his debut solo album
was released in mid-November 2007 on Sony Music Canada.
