The Punk-Rock band Randy was formed in the early '90s in SWEDEN where
they signed with Dolores Records in 1994 and soon after they went into
the studio in Uppsala to cut their debut album.
That same year the quartet released "There's No Way We're Gonna
Fit In", the sound was hard and fast and the lyrics had a strong
political, revolutionary, Red message.
This political touch started and stayed with Randy, even as the music
continued to develop and in 1996 the Swedish combo released "The
Rest Is Silence", a lot of touring followed their second album, including
a month-long stint through Europe with Lagwagon.
Randy went through some changes: a new label and the three former members,
vocalist+guitarist Stefan Granberg, guitarist+vocalist Johan Brändström
and drummer Fredrik Granberg, were joined by new bass player+vocalist
Johan Gustafsson before the band delivered its third album, "You
Can't Keep A Good Band Down", their first U.S. and Canadian release.
After hundreds of shows around the world, they signed to Burning Heart
Records and Epitaph; in spring 2001 the quartet churned out "The
Human Atom Bombs" which featured the infectious single "Addicts
Of Communication".
The band followed it up with 2003's "Welfare Problems".
Randy returned in Otober 2005 with its sixth full-length album, "Randy
The Band".
