Indie-Rock duo formed in Copenhagen, DENMARK in the late '90s and comprised
of guitarist+vocalist Sune Rose Wagner and bassist+vocalist Sharin Foo.
The Raveonettes released in the summer of 2002 its inaugural mini-album,
"Whip It On", which was named Best Rock Album of the Year at
the Danish Music Awards.
Relocating to New York City and working with Blondie
producer Richard Gottehrer, they planned to release their first full-length
disc, "Chain Gang Of Love", which was issued in September of
2003 via Columbia Records; the album cracked The Billboard Top 200 and
hit #2 on the Top Heatseekers charts; in Europe the main single, "That
Great Love Sound", made top 40 in U.K. and "Heartbreak Stroll"
became a top 3 smash in their native Denmark.
The Raveonettes returned in May 2005 with their next album, "Pretty
In Black", the set featured the lead single "Love In A Trashcan".
