The Alternative-Rock combo Red consists of lead singer Mike Barnes, Anthony
Armstrong and Jasen Rauch on guitars, Armstrong's twin brother Randy on
bass and Hayden Lamb on drums; the five members of the band grew up in
Pennsylvania USA, playing to area youth groups, performing popular contemporary
Christian music covers.
Musically influenced by artists such as Linkin
Park, Chevelle and Muse,
Red brings a unique blend of roiling guitars, epic string arrangements,
strong melodies and passionate vocals. The band's debut full-length disc,
"End Of Silence", surfaced in June 2006 on Essential Records;
the songs on this album deconstruct struggles that listeners face, while
painting a picture of redemption in the midst of brokenness. The first
single, "Breathe Into Me", impacted Rock radio formats in February
2007.
