The Alternative-Rock project Rock Star Supernova, originally just Supernova
before an older band of the same name won their injunction against the
band, is a brand new super-group featuring ex-Guns
N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke ex-Metallica
bassist Jason Newsted and Mötley Crüe
drummer Tommy Lee plus the vocal abilities
and boyish charisma of Canadian frontman Lukas Rossi who scored his spot
in the group after beating out a pool of other hopefuls, all of whom appeared
in the second season of the CBS reality TV show "Rock Star".
Led by the first single, "Be Yourself (And 5 Other Cliches)",
the band's eponymous debut outing was released in November 2006.
