This retro Alternative-Rock quintet from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA,
was formed in 2001 by five young guys grew up listening Classic-Rock and
Grunge; vocalist Walt Lafty, lead guitarist Nick Perri, rhythm guitarist
Mark Melchiorre, bass player Brian Weaver and drummer Kevin Frank started
their venture in the music world playing live in Philly clubs.
In the spring of 2002 Silvertide released a 3-track EP titled "American
Excess" and it was also around this time that they had the opportunity
to open for Aerosmith.
The following year the band opened for such other major acts as Velvet
Revolver, Tantric, Godsmack
and entered the studio to record their first full-length album, "Show
And Tell", which was issued in mid-2004 by J-Records. The first single
off the CD, "Ain't Comin' Home", stormed the Mainstream Rock
Tracks chart peaking at #6 and was followed by two more Active Rock radio
top 20 hits: "Devil's Daughter" and "Blue Jeans".
