This Alternative-Rock quintet from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA was
formed in 2001 by five young guys grew up listening Classic-Rock and Grunge;
vocalist Walt Lafty, lead guitarist Nick Perri, rhythm guitarist Mark
Melchiorre, bass player Brian Weaver and drummer Kevin Frank started their
venture in the music world playing live in Philly clubs.
Silvertide released in the spring of 2002 the 3-track EP, "American
Excess", around this time they had the opportunity to open for Aerosmith.
The following year the band also opened for Velvet
Revolver, Tantric, Godsmack
and entered the studio to record their first full-length album, "Show
And Tell", which was issued in mid-2004, the first single off, "Ain't
Comin' Home", stormed the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart reaching the
#6.
