This Alternative-Rock Windsor, Ontario CANADA-based act started out as trio in 1990 comprising of Jeff Martin as lead vocals+lead guitar, Stuart Chatwood on bass+keyboards and Jeff Burrows on drums.

Over the next couple of years, The Tea Party, released an independent album, started to play live shows on the local circuit and scored a deal with EMI Music Canada who released the official debut full-length disc, "Splendor Solis", the group supported the album by touring their native Canada, Europe and Australia where the record reached the gold status, in their homelad "Splendor Solis" sold over 100,000 copies and made them one of the most popular bands.
Their second effort, "The Edges Of Twilight", recorded with over 31 different exotic and acoustic instruments, saw the light in 1995; after the second overseas promotional tour and the video for "The Bazaar", the album became an even bigger hit than the first.
One year later appeared "Alhambra", a six-track EP which included 4 re-worked acoustic songs from the second album, "Time" with Roy Harper on vocals and the remix of "Sister Awake".
In the summer of 1997, the trio issued "Transmission", featuring the hit single "Temptation"; their third LP rose to #3 on the Canadian Albums chart.
Another two years passed before the three-piece returned with a new album, "TRIPtych", once again the record ranked in the top 5 of the Canadian chart, spawning the smash single, "Heaven Coming Down".
The Tea Party celebrated its 10th anniversary, in late 2000, with the release of "Tangents", a collection of their best songs blended with new tracks including the cover of The Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black".
The trio returned one year later with "The Interzone Mantras", their fifth LP of all-new-material, it peaked at #4 and #6 respectively on The Canadian and Autralian Albums charts.
Over the course of 2002 the band embarked on a Canadian tour opening for Ozzy Osbourne and subsequently performed live at the Big Day Out Festival in Australia.
The Tea Party's next album, "Seven Circles", was issued in August 2004, it includes the single "Writing's On The Wall".
