Theory Of A Deadman

The Alternative-Rock band Theory Of A Deadman was formed in 2001 in Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, when singer+guitarist Tyler Connolly and his bandmates, guitarist David Brenner, bassist Dean Back and drummer Tim Hart were signed to 604 Records, the new imprint co-founded by Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.

Connolly contributed guitar work to the main-track off of "Spider-Man" soundtrack, the single "Hero", performed by Kroeger and Saliva singer Josey Scott; Theory Of A Deadman's "Invisible Man" served as the b-side to this single.
The band's self-titled debut full-length disc was finally released in September 2002 on Roadrunner Records; it rose to #4 on the Top Canadian Albums chart and made it to the top 100 on the U.S. Billboard 200; "Nothing Could Come Between Us", the album's first single and video, hit #2 in Canada and peaked at #8 on the Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks; the follow-up single, "Make Up Your Mind", reached the #13 slots on the same charts. The four-piece band supported the release with a world tour, sharing stages with the likes of 3 Doors Down, Saliva, Nickelback, and Three Days Grace.
By the end of the tour Tim Hart left the group that continued as a three-piece. Fortunately, Theory Of A Deadman were resourceful enough to play the drum parts themselves while writing their sophomore LP. When they entered the studio, in Los Angeles, they brought back Robin Diaz, who had played on the band's first record for every track but "Santa Monica" which features their friend, 3 Doors Down drummer Daniel Adair; the trio later hired Brent Fitz as their new touring drummer.
"Gasoline" was released in late March 2005, prefaced by the single "No Surprise" which became their second U.S. Active Rock top 10 hit and the first to crack the Modern Rock Tracks top 30. The album eventually peaked at #10 in Canada and at #58 on The Billboard Top 200 chart spawning three more Mainstream Rock top 30 hits: "Say Goodbye", "Hello Lonely (Walk Away From This)" and "Santa Monica".

Theory Of A Deadman will unleash "Scars & Souvenirs" to the world on April 1 via Roadrunner; "So Happy" is the first single from the band's third album.
