This San Antonio, Texas USA-based Alternative-Metal outfit was formed in the late '90s by vocalist+guitarist Bryan Scott, guitarist Patrick Kennison, bass player John Moyer and drummer Josh Memolo.

"An Education In Rebellion" marked their debut project with Portrait Records, the album rose to the #2 spot on The Billboard Heatseekers list upon its mid-2000 release and reached the #130 on The Billboard Top 200 chart; the first single, "Turn Me On 'Mr. Deadman'", enjoyed a 6-months chart run on The Mainstream Rock Tracks and peaked at #11, "Killing The Fly" followed, reaching the #13 in the same chart; the band's debut CD included one more Active Rock top 30 hit, "Revolution Man". The Texan quartet supported Marilyn Manson in late 2000 and performed on the Ozzfest tour in the new year.
In spring 2002 The Union Underground recorded "Across The Nation (Raw Theme)" for the "WWF Forceable Entry" compilation, the single became their fourth Mainstream Rock top 30 hit.
A few months later was released the live-EP "Live...One Nation Underground".

By early 2005 John Moyer left the band to join the Chicago-based Metal act Disturbed.
