This three-piece Alternative-Rock band was formed in Athens, Georgia
USA, with Parker Gispert on vocals+guitar, Hank Sullivant on bass and
Julian Dorio on drums.
In the summer of 2005 with zero dollars in their pocket, the band bought
recording equipment on eBay, recorded on it for a couple months, then
sold the equipment back on eBay for a small profit. The result was the
primal "Give 'Em All A Big Fat Lip" which was self-released
by The Whigs in November 2005 and later re-released by ATO Records in
September 2006. The Athens trio spent most of 2006 and 2007 on the road
touring with artists like The Killers,
Franz Ferdinand and The
Futureheads.
"Mission Control", the band's second effort, is an album jam-packed
with infectious melodies and dynamic rhythms; the 11-song set was released
in January 2008; "Right Hand On My Heart" is the first single
kicking off the new record.
