Hard-Rock Alternative-Rock trio ZO2, featuring brothers Paulie Z on vocals
+ guitar and David Z on vocals + bass guitar and Joey Cassata on drums
+ vocals, formed in 2004 in Brooklyn, New York USA. Though a young band,
they were not newcomers to the concert and recording scene having worked
with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Joan Jett
And The Blackhearts as well as members from Megadeth.
ZO2's debut independent album, "Tuesdays & Thursdays" was
released in the spring of 2004 winning the band surprising attention.
Within weeks of its release, ZO2 was on the main stage opening for Kiss
and Poison on their entire 40 city national, VH1 sponsored "Rock
The Nation" tour.
The band's highly anticipated second CD, "Ain't It Beautiful"
on Riker Hill Records, followed in August 2007; the set included the politically
explosive Active-Rock radio single "Isolate".
In June 2009 ZO2 released its third album, "Casino Logic",
which features appearances by John Popper of Blues
Traveler, ex-Journey Steve Augeri and
Joe Lynn Turner. The CD includes
the single "Painted Lady" co-written with Spin
Doctors' Chris Barron.
